The new PU 18 section will be available in April 2005. During the period of transition we can offer the AU 16, the PU 22^{-1 mm} or the AZ 17.

 

The PU 18 has been specially developed for the construction sites where the soil properties are difficult or for the re-use in very difficult soils. It has the reinforced corners web/flanges as the PU 22. This will have a favourable impact on the stiffness of the section and the driving energy. The PU 18 will fill up the space between the PU 12 and the PU 22.

 

The PU 18 offers in comparison with the PU 16 an increment of 12.5 % of the elastic section modulus for a weight increment of less than 3 %.

The PU 18 ^{- 1mm} gives a weight saving in the order of 3 % in comparison with the PU 16 and this for a higher section modulus.

Pour les chantiers où les conditions de sols sont difficiles ou bien pour le réemploi en conditions difficiles la PU 18 a été spécialement développée. Elle dispose de coins dos-jambes renforcés tout comme la PU 22. Ceci aura un impact favorable sur la rigidité du profil et l’énergie de battage. La PU 18 comblera le vide entre la PU 12 et la PU 22.

 

La PU 18 offre par rapport à la PU 16 une augmentation de module de flexion de 12.5 % pour une augmentation de poids surfacique de moins de 3%.

La PU 18 ^–1mm offre une économie de poids de l’ordre de 3 % par rapport à la PU 16 et ceci pour un module plus élevé.
